Welcome to Lincoln, Nebraska! We want to help you get acquainted quickly and easily! When most people make a move, they are so busy that they find something great out about their town only after already being there months and sometimes even years! Lincoln has a ton of great services, fun places to visit, and terrific activities, and we do not want that to happen to you. We will start out by giving you a little information about the local Lincoln Municipal Airport; you might be surprised about all that it has to offer!
You will find that the Lincoln Municipal Airport has all the conveniences of a larger airport, but with much less hassle. Northwest Airlines, United and Delta all offer daily flights in and out of the Lincoln Municipal Airport. There are flights daily to and from Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Washington DC, Seattle, Detroit, Boston, and Indianapolis. There are also larger planes that fly from Lincoln to Denver, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
The Lincoln Municipal Airport is located at the northwest side of the city off of I-80. There are several ways to get to the airport, and it is easy to get to from Downtown. The airport is relatively small, which makes everything simpler and faster! You can park your car, check in, get through security and to your gate in a quarter to a third of the time that it would take at a larger airport. There is less distance to walk and of a crowd, making your traveling experience much more enjoyable. And parking rates are much cheaper as well! You can park in a secure, convenient parking lot for as little as thirty dollars a week.
There are plenty of amenities, however. The Lincoln Municipal Airport has plenty of ground transportation options available. There are booths for Hertz, Avis, Thrifty, Budget and Alamo rental car agencies. Van services and taxis are also available. There is a food court, a lounge, and gift shops. And in case you have relatives or friends visiting the Lincoln area, there is are several great hotels to choose from that are all conveniently located right next to the Airport. These include Hampton Inn, Ramada, Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Days Inn, and Motel 6.
Finally, the Lincoln Municipal Airport even has an online link which enables you to track a flight. This way, you can know in advance if a flight will be getting in early or late. So whether you will be picking up family or leaving for vacation, the Lincoln Airport makes it both easier and more enjoyable to travel! Don't go through the hassle of driving across the state to get to an airport!
